Hitec Rubber was established in 1992 in the Benoni industrial area of Johannesburg, but have recently relocated to East Boksburg. In 2005 Hitec Rubber joined the Natal Rubber Group of Companies to form one of the largest non-tyre rubber groups in Africa.
Quality Rubber Sheeting A full range of quality rubber sheeting is manufactured and is available in both cured and uncured form. This range includes all polymers in a wide range of colour, including black, manufactured according to customer specified thicknesses, lengths and widths.
Conveyor Belt System NRC Belting have been manufacturing cable belting for over 15 years and have supplied hundreds of kilometres without any being returned. This is a long-distance conveyor belting system which enables high capacity, overland transportation of materials. It is also used as a main drift or incline conveyor when low power consumption is desirable.
Precure Treads Precure Treads are being produced in a growing number of patterns. Advanced wire buffing techniques are used together with high quality bonding compounds to complete your quality requirements.
In addition to the precure tread range NRC Belting manufactures high quality cushion gum and repair rope.

This company within the group has its own rubber mixing facility, it also moulds, buffs and prints sheets. In addition it has the capability to mould small articles such as heels and soles for the footwear industry. Mixing The mixing facility has been setup as a colour operation. When the colour black is required a masterbatch is used - no free carbon black is used in the factory. The colour compounds are produced for both external and internal customers. The recent addition of a staining facility enables NRC Chamberlain to offer specialised contaminant free compounds for critical applications, such as rubber rollers. Moulding NRC Chamberlain produces both metric and imperial size sheets. Using a highly specialised moulding operation these sheets have either a moulded or a plain finish. A variety of customer specific heels and unit soles are moulded from the highest grade of compound. Printing The variety of printed finishes available are dictated by the fashion industry and are used in both ladies and gents high quality dress wear. The print line is the only one of its kind in Africa and one of a dozen worldwide. These products are used in the local South African market and exported worldwide. They find their way into the USA and European markets via manufacturing operations in China and Taiwan.
The Natal Rubber Group's football club was established in 1991 by Calvin Grantham. Week-ends are a hive of activity as employees converge at the playing fields. Management team building exercises have also included deep sea fishing expeditions.

Introduction of straining facility into colour and black mixing facilities. 2002 Purchase of second adjacent property giving an additional 3 200 square metres of warehousing and finished goods storage.
